At hatchmap, we architect, develop, and maintain
beautiful web and mobile solutions.
We start by working with you
to craft your idea and
make it pretty.
Next our software development
team constructs your new
app based on the designs.
The most exciting part:
we launch your application
to the world!
hatchmap has been architecting beautiful web and mobile platforms in the NYC area since 2007. Based in Brooklyn, we have grown from a small startup to a fully-fledged software production machine.

We are a quick ferry ride away from Midtown Manhattan, making it easy to come visit us and discuss your next technological venture. We have a young and diverse development team with software development experience in various industries.
No matter the platform, language, or format, hatchmap can develop your next software project using the latest and most cutting edge technologies. Whether it is a mobile app for a 10,000-person conference, a client/server based web platform with 100,000+ users, or real-time connected software to enhance your live event, hatchmap is here to help craft the best solution.

We are ready and excited for you to be our next client. Contact us today!
Just a few examples; part of any project proposal will include more examples of relevant prior work!

Back in 2008 we were approached by a group of livery companies that were interested in bringing car reservations onto a location based mobile platform—sound familiar?

Unfortunately due to regulatory hurdles that were not cleared until years later, MojoCar never made it to the bright lights and busy streets of New York City. But, we had a lot of fun building and testing a platform that was way ahead of its time.

Using location based services, a custom e-commerce platform, and a smart ride matching and ride bidding back-end, we built a companion set of applications (one for drivers, one for passengers) that we feel would still hold its own against the Ubers and Lyfts of the world today.

We have a strong connection to bike racing at hatchmap. It is a hobby that a bunch of us love, and we were so excited to get a chance to develop software in the industry.

The Red Hook Criterium series is an international track bike Criterium race that takes place in Brooklyn, Barcelona, and Milan. As a leading technical sponsor of the race, hatchmap developed a timing and scoring platform that provisioned race data from our timing partners to a custom mobile application that we developed in house.

Motivated by similar applications that failed to perform well on race day, we are incredibly proud that the RHC Raceday app delivered results to 20,000+ race fans at an average update time of 0.07814 seconds—internationally!

Note: This is a simulated screenshot of similar technology.

A leading educational book publisher approached us with an existing educational technology platform. The platform was successful but needed a new round of features and enhancements to continue growing.

We took over lead development of the project, and have continued to enhance it through numerous revisions to its present day form.

Due to the enhancements we helped engineer, sales have increased and the project continues to perform very well in a competitor-heavy market.

Ever since hacking away as an 8-year old on brand new Commodore 64 (thanks mom!), Randy has been hooked on all things software development. After 10 years working in Telecom, Finance, and Advertising technology, Randy started hatchmap and has grown it from a single man operation to a successful team.

When he does get away from his computer, Randy is an accomplished cellist, music lover, pilot, marathoner, bike racer, and strong supporter of gender equality in all sports.
